Week 19- Books!

First things first, my book arrived! =D

The book printed really well, some of the images and the cover printed darker than expected but besides that everything came out ok, so I can kind of relax.

As for work, things slowed down,  most of the work was in preparation for the final year degree show, with a few bits of Thumbelina work thrown in. I worked on my business cards, since I going to emphasise my 2D work with these I made sure to give the cards a more Illustrative feeling.

The fronts of these cards didn't go down very well, so I played around with the design and came up with these cards, which I'm really happy with:

I've  also started on a full overhaul of my website at sarahwrightart.wix.com/portfolio but I'll leave finishing that until after hand in.

Besides that Iv'e been trying to illustrate more moments from the Thumbelina story before hand in, right now im working with this passage.

"now the toad could not possibly reach her, and the country through which she sailed was beautiful, and the sun shone upon the water, till it glittered like liquid gold."

I played around with two compositions but they weren't really working for me, so I plan on redoing them next week.

At the end of the week I tried something a little different, I decided to work on an animated turnaround for Thumbelina. This is something I thought about doing for awhile now but since I have no experience with doing this and had no idea  how long this would take so I left it until after printing to try out. So far it's looking very wonky, but hopefully I can get this cleaned up, and do the in betweens before hand in.
